WSP Parsons Brinckerhoff

Parsons Brinckerhoff has an opening for a Consultant I to join our management consulting team – the U.S. based Strategic Advisory Services.  Strategic Advisory Services is focused on providing project development, policy support, financial analysis, management consulting, economic analysis, and strategy support services to public and private infrastructure owners and operators primarily in the transportation sector with a focus on highways, transit, marine ports, heavy rail, and aviation. In this capacity, we work with executive and senior management to improve performance and ensure the application of industry leading practices to help address tomorrow’s infrastructure challenges today. 

Based in Washington, DC, New York City, or Seattle, WA, the successful candidate will be part of a team working on national and international engagements for public and private sector clients that own, operate, and invest in infrastructure assets.  We are recruiting a motivated self-starter with a demonstrated interest in applying economic principles and techniques to transportation projects and policies, infrastructure development, environmental initiatives, resiliency projects and policies, and related areas.  The successful candidate would be part of the Economics Service within Strategic Advisory Services, working also with other members of Strategic Advisory Services across other practice areas such as Project Finance, Freight and Logistics, Asset Management, and Organizational Development, in a multidisciplinary environment. We seek problem solvers who combine strong written and verbal communications skills, demonstrated quantitative and analytical skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to develop innovative solutions independently and master new concepts quickly to deliver high quality work.
 
This position will entail tasks such as benefit-cost analysis, economic impact analysis, economic modeling, econometric and other statistical analysis and forecasting techniques, methodology development, proposal writing, and report writing.  Interaction with clients will be part of the job, as will be identifying market opportunities and pursuing consulting work on an individual and team basis.
